PEPPERONI   STICKS

There's no doubt that pizza is a family favorite on game nights, party nights, busy-day-nights, and well, all those other nights you don't need an excuse for! Especially since the pandemic, our family has been more intentional about the food we eat by making what we can rather than buying for convenience. However, with many busy children, it's often harder than I dream of it being, but imagine our delight when we learned how EASY it was to make our own pizza! It takes about an hour total, and brings a HEARTY meal to the table that everyone loves! Along with veggies and cheese, we've added sliced FMP pepperoni sticks and FMP Italian sausage.

PIZZA DOUGH

Dissolve 2 Tablespoons of yeast and 2 Tablespoons sugar in 2 cups of warm water.

Once dissolved, add in 2 Tablespoons olive oil and 1teaspoon salt

Add in 2 cups flour and mix well. After it's mixed well, add in additional 3 cups flour, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder and 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning.

Let rise 20 minutes. Knead on lightly floured surface to rid the dough of stickiness. Shape onto generously greased pizza pan and top with your favorite pizza sauce, toppings, and cheese.

Bake at 400 for 18-20 minutes.

We find this makes about 2 large pizzas, but any leftover dough can be frozen and then thawed immediately before the next pizza night. Or fry up some FMP bacon and top the dough with bacon, eggs, and cheese for a delicious breakfast pizza!
